The Needs of Religious Institutions
The need for religious institutions has been the
need of the hour at all times. The light that
has been emiting forth from the religious institutions
will, Insha Allah, continue to illuminate the
environment as before.
In the days of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (Peace
be Upon Him) the nucleus of a religious institution
existed in the shape of ASHAB-E-SUFFAH. This was
a group of
the Muslims dedicated to the cause of Islam receiving
lessonsdirectly from the Holy Prophet Muhammed
(Peace be Upon Him) and disseminated the knowledge
so gained in the name of Allah. In fact, they
were the fore runners of our religious institutions.
The first teacher was the Holy Prophet himself
while his ASHAB (companions) had been the students
and the raised platform in the Holy Prophet’s
mosque was the first Islamic Institute (Madrasah).
With the passage of time, the impartation of knowledge
by ASHAB took a definite shape and form and almost
every mosque had a small MAKTAB attached to it.
Thus the knowledge of the Holy Quran and Sunnah
reached the people everywhere both in urban and
rural areas of the day to day expanding Islamic
world. This field of Islamic activity was entirely
looked after by the Ulama-e-Karam (Islamic Scholars),
sometimes under the patronage of rulers and mostly
under their own arrangements with the assistance
of ASHAB-E-KHAIR (generous people). They did so
scrupulously and facing all kinds of odds kept
the candle of HIDAYAT burning. A clear proof of
their dedication and untiring efforts can be seen
in the shape of Islamic Universities (Jamias)
spread all over the world as well as the huge
Islamic literature produced by these madersah
educated Ulama so that the Islamic literature
in all the languages taken together exceeds the
combined literature of all other religions of
the world.
To mention one specific feature;
is learning of the Holy Quran by heart. History
is a witness how Muslim children have been remembering
the Holy Quran by heart for the last 1400 years.
This is a unique feature for the Muslims and the
children (HUFFAZ) as well as for their parents
who can rightly boast this learning by heart.
The Holy Prophet (peace be
upon him) is reported to have said that "Study
the Holy Quran as it would be your intercessor
on the day of judgement". He has
reported to have said further "Two
persons are enviable; one who has been bestowed
with the wealth of the Holy Quran and he continues
to read it day and night and the other who has
been gifted with wealth and he continues to distribute
it day and night". Hazrat Ibn-e-Umer
has reported "The reciter of the
Holy Quran will be asked on the day of judgement
to recite the Quran and go up and up and recite
the Quran in the manner he did in the world and
the Ayat on which he will end will be his destination".
Holy Quran is the last and
final scripture. It is the complete and final
code of life till doomsday. This last scripture
is the highest point of submission to the Al-mighty.
If one recites it, one gets ten virtues for every
letter that he recites. On the other hand its
recitation creates a feeling of submission to
the Highest. So the Holy prophet has said: "One
who does not have even a small portion of the
Holy Quran in his heart, his heart is like a ruined
building"
Foundation of Jamia
Binoria
Jamia Binoria was founded by Mufti Muhammed
Naeem in the sacred month of Rajab 1398 A.H. (1978).
Although at that time there had been extreme lack
of means but Mufti Muhammed Naeem wholly and solely
relying on the help of Allah Ta'ala started the
work. The price of land where now stands a magnificent
mosque and the impressing buildings of the Jamia
was very high. The area teemed with big industrial
establishments but no industry was there for the
development of human mind and culture. Mufti Muhammed
Naeem went so far in this struggle that he collected
funds through payable loans from his friends and
well wishers. Allah Ta'ala so much rewarded these
sincere efforts that the Jamia has got international
status in a very short span of time.
Jamia Binoria has been making
every effort for the dissemination of the teachings
of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. Students from
all over the world are getting education in this
institution and this they do after covering long
distances and at considerable expenses. Now there
are about 1300 day scholars while there are 1000
resident students from many countries. Many American
students learnt the Holy Quran by heart and qualified
themselves to lead Tarawih prayers during Ramazan.
How impressive the scene would have been when
these students lead Tarawih prayers impress some
Muslims to the extent that they offer their children
for admission in Jamia Binoria while some give
donations.
May this Institution live
long to keep the cause of Islam. May Allah reward
all those who are cooperating in this sacred task.
